I worked with Karen for close to ten years. When I first met Karen, she was the assistant to our Vice President of Supply Chain, where she did a great job organizing and communicating activities for a very large department. For several years Karen worked for me providing valuable support to my activities in direct procurement (raw materials and tolling), while also performing excellent service to the indirect procurement team and supply chain department. Karen was later recruited by the indirect procurement team and promoted to buyer for multiple locations. In working with Karen I was always amazed at how quickly she could complete tasks and organize complex arrangements such as meetings, travel, etc. Karen was a joy to work with but is a tough negotiator. From my observations, Karen is responsive to her internal customers and consistently promotes and enforces corporate procurement policies and is aggressive in going after cost savings and favorable payment terms
